Anya Konduru

Anya Konduru is a junior at Somerset County Vocational Technical High School. She is a member of the student advisory council at Rutgers Hamilton Lab. She has conducted research on mental health and suicide prevention in adolescents. She advises on study measures and reviews social media and sleep study data. Last summer, she worked as a student researcher at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology at Rutgers University to study DNA Sequences of Landoltia punctata. Using DSAP, she analyzed and categorized six DNA sequences and published them in the NCBI database. Anya also works at a physical therapy office, assisting patients with exercises and activities. She is also a cadet on the East Millstone First Aid and Rescue Squad, where she responds to 911 calls and will further pursue an EMT certification. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in health care. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and playing chess.
