Blessing Anyangwe

2025 Scholar

Blessing Anyangwe is a senior at Mount Olive High School. Her main STEM interests lie in biological sciences and neurobiological applications. She has conducted research on the comparison of traditional and machine learning programs pertaining to protein-ligand binding at the New Jersey Governor’s School in the Sciences, and has also investigated the correlation between specific executive function skill sets, gender, and age. She has received recognition as part of the National UNICEF Youth Advisory Panel, was elected to serve as the interim New Jersey FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Community Service Vice President, and has earned several STEM-related and business-related certificates/diplomas from accredited universities including Johns Hopkins University, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University. She has led her school’s FIRST Robotics Team to be a two-time national qualifier in three years. In addition, Blessing is a part of Prospect Presbyterian Church’s Programs— Prospect Hunger Program, Prospect Music Program, Prospect Family Promise Network, and the National Presbyterian Women Association—and has volunteered since youth. She has also founded a music-therapy volunteer program for youth patients at the local hospital and has a volunteer network of 15+ high schoolers. In the future, Blessing hopes to be a neurosurgeon and manage her own private practice.
