Bowen Zhang

Bowen Zhang is a sophomore at Union County Magnet High School. As programming manager of the district’s FIRST Competition Robotics Team, he is responsible for programming the robot and teaching incoming students how to code in Java using the WPI library. He is also senator of his class council, a member of Relay for Life, and has fundraised hundreds of dollars for cancer patients and survivors. Bowen’s STEM interests lie in math and engineering. Outside of school, Bowen loves to play piano, having won the Young Pianist Competition of NJ and Apex International Music Competition multiple times. He also enjoys playing tennis, and is a member of his school’s varsity team.
