Cameron Farid
Cameron Farid is a senior at the Diana C. Lobosco STEM Academy in Wayne. Outside of the classroom, he involves himself in a multitude of STEM-related extracurricular like the Seaperch Underwater Robotics Competition and 3rd grade mathematics tutoring. He is also volunteering for a mathematical modeling research project with PHD students at Montclair State University. They are working to implement a more open-ended approach to teaching mathematics at his school. Additionally, he and a partner won 2nd place in their school's "STEM Expo" research project for a novel supercapacitor design featuring a conjunction between a graphene-based and battery electrode to meet high energy and power needs. He looks forward to studying the field of physics in college and later contributing to the field in academia.
