Estefania Orjuela Parra

Team Lead

Estefania Orjuela Parra is a senior at Montclair State University, double majoring in Data Science and Economics with a minor in Sustainability Science. A Presidential Scholar and Honors Program member, she has been actively involved as the president of the Environmental Club, where she organized weekly meetings, lectures, clean-ups and other events, to raise awareness about the human impact on the environment. She was also vice president of the Economics Honors Society, a Peer Mentor at MSU and for Girls Who Code, and is a member of the Association of Women in Tech and Engineering. She interned as a data and policy analyst at the PSEG Institute of Sustainability Science, researching energy capture from food waste in New Jersey. Currently, she is working on a deep learning project for plant disease classification with MSU's Center of Sustainability and Data Analytics.
