Everett McArthur
Advisory Council Member
Everett McArthur is an alumnus of the Governor's STEM Scholars Program Class of ‘19 and he has a passion for astronomy and a strong commitment to education, school choice and scientific engagement. Previously he has served as the Head of the Alumni Association at iLearn Schools from which he himself graduated from in High School.
With a keen interest in exploring the mysteries of the cosmos, Everett earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Astronomy from Columbia University. During this time he held positions at institutions such as the American Museum of Natural History and the Columbia Astrophysics Lab. Where, he had the privilege of studying the intricate dynamical structure of our galaxy.
Currently, Everett is furthering his research as a Post-Baccalaureate Research Fellow at Stanford University’s Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology. In this role, he focuses on leveraging the power of machine learning to search for active galactic nuclei, contributing to our understanding of these cosmic phenomena.
