Fatima Lira

Fatima Lira is a senior at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack. She is secretary of her school's Future Problem Solvers Club where she organizes meetings and helps train members for regional, state, and national competitions. Fatima pursues engineering research at her school's Mechatronics Research Lab and has participated in her school-wide research Expo. She is currently an intern at the Mechatronics Research Lab where she builds hardware prototypes using microcontrollers (Arduino, Feather, Raspberry Pi), works with sensors and motors to create prototypes and carries out 3D prints. In the future, Fatima hopes become an engineer at NASA to provide help on research done on Mars or work with computer hardware.
