Florence So is a junior at Morris Hills High School. As a participant in the Magnet Program of Math and Science, she has further explored her interest in human biology and has enjoyed understanding the real-world applications of research and statistics. Florence volunteers at her local library and nursery school. She connects her academic pursuits with her hobbies through the Gifted and Talented Program. Her independent study is focused on learning different knitting techniques while researching the biomechanics of the motions involved in knitting and learning preventative techniques to guard against repetitive stress injuries. In the future, Florence hopes to help those who find pain in their everyday lives, whether it be through research, or by actively working with patients.
