Gauri Kshettry

Gauri Kshettry, a senior at Edison High School STEM Academy, combines her passion for technology and finance to drive impactful innovation. She developed Therapose, a physical therapy app using pose estimation for real-time feedback, winning 1st place at the Congressional App Challenge and presenting her work to Congress. Gauri has secured seed funding from renowned competitions like the Diamond Challenge, Blue Ocean Competition, and Technovation. She co-authored “TuneNav: Tunable Whisker Array for Touch-Based Navigation in Confined Spaces” during her research at Purdue’s IDEAS Lab, which she presented at MIT’s Undergraduate Research Technology Conference. Over the summer, Gauri attended the Summer Science Program at Indiana University, conducting bioinformatics research on plasmid design, sequence motif analysis, and docking studies for candidate inhibitors of Cdc14. She has also co-founded Team Quadra, leading her team to rank top 5 nationally at RoboCup Onstage. Gauri serves on the Advisory Board for TechGirlz, leads her school’s DECA club, serves as the copy editor of the school newspaper, and captains the varsity swim and golf teams. Additionally, she published an introductory Python book in Hindi for underprivileged students in India. In the future, Gauri aims to combine her interests in technology and entrepreneurship to create positive change.
