Jamie Lynn Connors

Jamie Lynn Connors is a fourth-year mathematics major and member of the Baldwin Honors College at Drew University. As a member of her school's admissions program and Writing Fellow for a first-year statistics course, she connects with first-year students in the STEM community. Jamie Lynn learned to integrate mathematics and statistics through academic research as the Vice President of Drew's chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics honor society. She recently completed a position at the Drew University Summer Science Institute, a full-time research program, where she worked directly with advisors to complete her honors thesis regarding controversies surrounding p-values in statistics. Jamie Lynn plans to stay at Drew for another academic year to obtain her Master of Science in Data Analytics. She aspires to motivate change in the STEM community and influence other young statisticians to reform their ways of thinking through her research.
