Kaavya Pratikantham

2025 Scholar

Kaavya Pratikantham is a senior at Woodbridge Academy Magnet School. While attending a school focused on allied health and biomedical science careers, she has completed over 30 hours of volunteering at a local OB/GYN clinic, where she gained experience interacting with patients, taking their vitals, and assisting office staff. She recently completed her EMT-basic training, and has gained field experience in Alameda County, CA as part of her training. She is also co-president of Gen-MedZ, a global nonprofit that operates under United 4 Social Change. Gen-MedZ aims to help kids from all over the globe gain free, introductory experience to the field of medicine and connect with like-minded peers around the globe. Kaavya has also been an Indian classical dancer for nearly 12 years, and has been a teacher's assistant for four years. She is president of her school's Civic Leaders of America Chapter, head of set design for her school's drama club, a member of her school's Model United Nations chapter, and plays varsity tennis for Piscataway High School. Kaavya loves working with children and hopes to become a doctor specializing in pediatric intensive care, emergency medicine, immunology, or neonatology.
