Maahishee Patel

2025 Scholar

Maahishee Patel is a junior at Cumberland Regional High School. As president of the Leo Club, class president, Red Cross NJ Youth Council member, National Society of Leadership and Success Presidential, member, Miss NJ Teen Cumberland County, and Red Cross Ambassador of Cumberland County, she strives to host multiple events in her community to bring more awareness on STEM and biology education. She is the founder of the Hearts to Heal Fundraising program and hosts a heart walk/run in her community to spread more awareness on heart conditions and attacks. She participates in SteamTank competitions and is running for President of the TSA club. She helps host STEM summer programs at her school to get more kids interested in STEM. She has research experience in chemical toxins and nuclear radiation and how melanin can turn that radiation into chemical energy as well as how to extinguish the ignition of lithium-ion batteries in electrical vehicles using Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion canisters. In the future, she hopes to use STEM to develop fully functional transplant organs with 3D printing software and modern techniques.
