Reeti Rout

Reeti Rout is a sophomore at John P. Stevens High School. She participates in math and computer science competitions and has qualified for the Math Prize for Girls. She loves the creative and problem-solving aspect of STEM and how computer science can crack unsolved problems in almost any field by uncovering new patterns in vast amounts of data. She has used deep learning methods to work on problems in biomedical imaging. In school, she is a board member of Cyberhawks, the Computer Science Club and a member of the Science Olympiad team. She is a strong advocate for equity in STEM education across the board and works with various nonprofit organizations at a local and national level to make it happen. In the future, she intends to develop solutions in the field of computational biology to address problems in the medical field.
