Ricardo Garcia

Ricardo Garcia is an alumni representative on the Governor’s STEM Scholars Advisory Board. Mr. Garcia was a member of the Governor’s STEM Scholars class of 2018-2019 and graduated in May 2019. Currently, he is a New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Biomedical Engineering Alumni working as an engineer with Akorn Pharmaceuticals in Somerset. At NJIT, Mr. Garcia conducted research in neuroscience and prosthetic devices while working in the healthcare industry. This research has led to competitive awards from the Northeast Biomedical Engineering Conference, NJIT TechQUEST, NJIT Provost Undergraduate Research, and NJIT BME Capstone and Design. He is currently perusing his Master's in Global Engineering Leadership with The Ohio State University.
