Saanvi Mehta

Saanvi Mehta is a senior at Mainland Regional High School. She is passionate about robotics, programming, and computer aided design (CAD). Saanvi holds certifications in Autodesk Fusion 360 computer aided design and digital manufacturing, programming languages, and biology. She is the business squad lead and a computer aided design squad member of her FIRST Tech Challenge Team which has held the title of NJ state champions for the last two years. Saanvi is on her school’s VEX Robotics Team and leads two service-based clubs. Saanvi participated in an intensive certification program where she learned advanced artificial intelligence concepts and developed an app using machine learning for unbiased skin cancer detection. Saanvi was also accepted into the New York Academy of Sciences Junior Academy project-based research program, and has been named a young member of the New York Academy of Sciences. Saanvi is a leader of NJ STEM Girls in which she promotes girls’ involvement in STEM and robotics. She is on her school's tennis team and is a competitive dancer. Saanvi was also named a National Honorable Mention and Philadelphia Affiliate Winner for the National Center for Women and Information Technology Aspirations in Computing award. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, going on bike rides, and binge-watching Netflix.
