Victoria Rose is a junior at Saint Vincent Academy in Newark. As the former president of her sophomore class, she has hosted and created multiple charity events that have benefited her community. Along with the help of her peers she hosted a women’s food and toiletry drive for a homeless shelters. During the Christmas season, she arranged a toy and clothing drive for a women and children shelter. To continue pursuing her medical and science passion she was chosen into her school’s Biomedical Engineering program. In this program she used both her engineering and medical knowledge to solve a case on a deceased victim. She dissected and analyzed labs and crime scenes to come to an accurate conclusion as to the cause of death and bring closure to the victim’s family. This program taught Victoria how to reach a diagnosis and communicate effective treatments to patients. Victoria loves to give back to her community and over the summer she was involved in a YMCA program where she taught the children basic education and increased their social and emotional skills. Victoria intends to obtain her BSN and become a registered nurse.
